Cruel and humiliating torture: 90% of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces suffered from the actions of the Russian Federation - the human rights activist

According to Alexander Pavlichenko, the attitude towards Ukrainian prisoners of war in Russia indicates the imperfection of international organizations, the existence of which does not change the situation. The Russian Federation pursues a purposeful policy on the cruel treatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilian hostages. Such cases have been recorded regularly since 2014. Alexander Pavlychenko, executive director of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, told this on October 20.

According to him, such aggressive actions by the enemy indicate the imperfection of international institutions such as the Red Cross and the UN. They can not only change the situation, but also achieve full registration of all prisoners. "Unfortunately, interviewing Ukrainian prisoners who came out of captivity, we can say that more than 90% of those who visited captivity have been ill -treatment and torture.

There are cases Compliance with any normal civilized rules with the use of cruel torture, cruel treatment, humiliating behavior, "-said Alexander Pavlichenko. He added separately that if Ukraine gives international organizations to prisoners, Russia is not even going to do so on a regular basis. This is also dosed with the permission of power. Representatives of the OSCE or the Red Cross are only allowed to some citizens who will not tell about torture.

That is, independent control is virtually impossible. "This is one of the big problems that stands on the agenda of international organizations today: the question of how to achieve the effectiveness of such control, and to work on both sides. It is a task that must be solved in order to provide first and foremost The safety of keeping the persons captured on both sides of the war, ”Alexander Pavlichenko added.
