Russia "Ready to Work": Medinsky told about the following negotiations with Ukraine

To spread: The Russian delegation will wait for a meeting with Ukraine in Istanbul from 10 am on May 16, said Vladimir Putin's assistant Vladimir Medinsky. The Kremlin official noted that Russia is "ready to work", commenting on negotiations with Ukraine. The full statement of Kremlin politicians on further negotiations with Ukraine was published in the Russian Telegram channel "Izvestia" on the evening of May 15.

Volodymyr Medinsky announced the following negotiations of Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul. According to him, they should take place on the morning of May 16 and have to start at 10:00. Medinsky noted that Ukraine "should come to a meeting". Medinsky also stressed in a conversation with the press that the Russian delegation allegedly arrived in Istanbul for direct bilateral negotiations with Ukraine without prior conditions. "Russia is ready to work," said the head of the Russian delegation.

In addition, the Kremlin official mentioned the meeting of Russia with the Turkish side, namely the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey. He reported that the delegation of the Russian Federation had a fruitful meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister, during which he "explained the position of Moscow" in negotiations with the Ukrainian side.

It is worth noting that after Russia sent a delegation to Istanbul as part of assistants and deputy ministers, Ukraine decided to send to the next negotiations of "appropriate level" officials, as reported by Reuters on May 15. Instead, on May 15, the White House press service passed the words of US President Donald Trump that there would be no progress in the negotiations of Russia and Ukraine until he personally meet with Russia's leader Vladimir Putin.
