Among the 29 sanctioned subjects is the Russian propagandist Oleksandr Chubaryan, who is the co-author of a school textbook on the history of Russia, which, in the style of Russian propaganda, justifies the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Also - Russian pseudo-historian and adept of the "Russian peace" Oleksiy Miller and Artem Lagoiskyi, who betrayed Ukraine, joined the service of the occupiers and headed the so-called "Ministry of Culture of the Kherson region" and helps the Russians in everything: from the adoption of the "documents" needed by the invaders to the violation of the rights of Ukrainians.
Ukraine also applied sanctions against 15 Russian organizations and bodies of the so-called occupation administrations, which are involved in supporting Russian aggression and occupation of Ukrainian territories, falsification of historical facts, theft of cultural values from museums and reserves of Crimea, appropriation of documents of the National Archive Fund of Ukraine and their use for the aggressor's benefit.
"Sanctions were introduced against cultural colonization - against those who distorted the history of Ukraine and imposed imperial narratives for decades. This is not a question of culture as such, but a component of a hybrid war aimed at undermining our identity and statehood," stressed Vladyslav Vlasyuk, adviser to the President's representative on sanctions policy.
