The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that on the night of March 8, 15 drones were shot down over the Volgograd region. According to the newspaper, 2 of them fell into the territory of the military unit 572229/51, which is located in the village of Kotluban. One drone exploded after the fall. Previously, there are no victims. Information on destruction is unknown. According to open data, 572229/51 is a large arsenal of complex storage of ammunition.
Here is the arsenal of the Guerns of the Rocket Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The chairman of the Kotluban rural settlement, Igor Davydenko, said that after the explosions, the military unit allegedly operates in a regular mode, and the evacuation of residents was not carried out.
At the same time, the governor of the Volgograd region Andriy Bocharov stated that the attack of UAV in the Horodyshche district of the Volgograd region was reflected, and unmanned aircraft was destroyed by the Ministry of Defense. The official issued a fire at the scene, which was promptly localized and extinguished. It should be reminded that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation complained about the attack of UAV and accused Ukraine.
