At about 11:40 pm on May 31, the newspaper reported that in the Bryansk region there was a collapse of the road bridge, and then a passenger train crashed into it. From its own sources, the media learned that the cities "Moscow - Klimim" crashed into the bridge. At first, at least seven victims as a result of the incident were not reported. The Russian Telegram-channel Mash reported that, according to preliminary assumptions, the cause of the collapse could be a blast.
"Probably at this moment a passenger train passed under it, it was filled with structures. The wagon and the car were flew to the structure," the publication said. Soon the public reported that, according to preliminary data, explosives could now be laid by unknown people. One of the eyewitnesses told Izvestius that a loud explosion had a loud explosion at the scene of the incident.
At about 00:05 hours, the Telegram-channel Mash said that at least 22 victims were already known as a result of an incident in the Bryansk region, injured in serious condition. Operational services work on the spot. Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz confirmed the collapse of the bridge in the region. He noted that the incident happened in the area of "one of the sections of the A240 highway".
