In an interview with Mam-Ukraine TV channel on April 6, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that in order to completely close the Ukrainian airspace of Ukraine, in addition to existing systems, 25 units of Patriot for 6-8 installations are required in addition to existing systems. In addition, the head of state believes that there are several analogues of this system, which also work quite effectively.
Zelensky is convinced that Russian invaders will not stop attacking the Ukrainian energy system, but Ukraine will still go this way. It is known that some protection has already been provided, but it is not able to withstand some rockets. In this case, only Patriot or analogue can work. On April 7, the Analysts of the Defense Express portal have named air defense systems that can become analogues of American Patriot.
