"Lit" helicopter and Armed Forces positions: SBU detained Telegram Channel Administrators (Photo)

Telegram channel administrators not only showed the Armed Forces and movement of military equipment. They gave the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to establish accurate coordinates, explained special services. Two Ukrainians decided to make their Telegram channels famous. To this end, they published information on the movement of defense forces with "binding" to geographical coordinates. The SBU detained the figures who are threatening up to eight years in prison.

On June 21, the details of the administrators of the Telegram-channels were told by the press service of the department. The post of the press service refers to two men, both are the administrators of Telegram-channels (names are not indicated). Both are suspected of committing a crime under Part 1, 2 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code-illegal dissemination of information on the movement of equipment and units of defense forces.

If the court pleads guilty, it may be punished by imprisonment for a period of five to eight years (in an easier case - from three to five). If you find selfish motives or cooperation with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, it is possible for 12 years. The first person involved in the SBU is a resident of Zaporizhzhya. The man in his own Telegram channel has published several times information unauthorized by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

In particular, he posted a photo of fire positions near Kupyansk and photos of fortifications in Zaporizhzhia region. In addition, he posted a video with the movement of armored vehicles and artillery forces of defense, the SBU press service explained. The second person involved - from Vinnytsia. As it turned out, the man on the Facebook page posted the frame of the helicopter flight, and with a binding to the area.

Investigators suggested that the purpose of both bloggers was to attempt to gain popularity of Telegram channels. Shortly before the detention, they were preparing to place another portion of content that could harm the Armed Forces. However, they were stopped in a timely manner and prevented the next "leak", the article on the portal of the department. "The SBU staff exposed the person in a timely manner and prevented the spread of forbidden content," law enforcement officers said.

The press service posted two photos showing the moment of detention of the persons. The faces are blocked, so they cannot be recognized and not clear who is from Zaporozhye and who - from Vinnytsia. The names of the suspects are not specified. It should be noted that these are not the first Telegram channels and bloggers who are detained because of "drainage" on social networks of important military information.

On June 18, Focus told about a man - a resident of Zaporizhzhia, who directed the Supernova channel. Investigators found that he posted the movement of the Archer SAU, with a road sign. Thanks to this information, which was instantly spread on networks, the enemy learned about the location of the Armed Forces equipment. In addition, there were later two more violations of the laws: there were videos with the movement of Western weapons across the Polish-Ukrainian border.
