China forbidden to supply powerful processors for military electronics to Russia

Chinese authorities have decided to save the Loongson chips for their army, but so far Russians can buy them even because of AliExpress. The China Government has forbidden to supply Chinese Loongson Chinese processors to Russia and other countries. About it writes the Russian edition "Kommersant", citing its own sources.

The electronics market representative explained that the Loongson processors are built on the Chinese invention architecture and are used in China's military-industrial complex, as are all the best chips. In this regard, the PRC has decided to block access to this technology to other countries.

The source close to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation added that some Russian electronics manufacturers have already tested the Loongson processors, but now they will not be able to buy them. They hoped to switch to these chips in connection with the case of blocking the so -called "parallel import" - the supply of products through third countries without the permission of the right holders.

With this schedule, Loongson could theoretically replace advanced processors from the largest manufacturers of Intel and AMD, which officially stopped sales in the Russian Federation. One of the employees of the electronics company stated that during the LOONGSON tests he showed reliable work and high productivity, and therefore "capable of competing Intel".

The director of the promoter "Promobit" Maxim Kopsov believes that Russian enterprises could later use the LOONGSON chips in large numbers, if it was not for a ban on China. However, restrictions will not cause great harm to Russia, since only some manufacturers have focused on this technology. In addition, laptops and motherboards with Loongson processors can be purchased on AliExpress.

The representative of the Russian-Aza Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RASPP) Vitaliy Mankevich noted that in Russia they have not yet received an official announcement of the ban on the supply of Loongson, although China is trying not to advertise cooperation with the Russians. "But even with a negative RASPP scenario, there are many ways to purchase such goods, including thirdly, smaller companies," he said.

Earlier, the GUR of Ukraine found that foreign companies help to bring Russian missiles, serving chips with the help of satellite navigation Glodass. Thanks to the components released by Western companies, "Iskanders", "Calibers", "Dagger", X-101, X-555, X-38, X-59MK and X-31. In November, the United States blocked the supply of "gray" chips to Russia through new sanctions.
