The US has successfully protested HAWC hypersonic rocket. What is known about it and when will this weapon be ready?

The US Defense Ministry has confirmed the successful testing of HAWC hypersonic rocket in the real world. Earlier, the use of such missiles in Ukraine was stated by the military leadership of the Russian Federation. The development of hypersonic weapons is conducted from the late 1950s-early 1960s. These weapons can develop speeds above 5 MAh (more than 6000 km/h) and maneuver using aerodynamic forces.
