Such statistics were published by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the Ukrainian State Center for International Education. In total, on November 1, 27 226 students from abroad are enrolled in Ukrainian universities. As of May 1, 2024, there were 31 727, and in 2024 7 194 of them began training. China ranks first in the top of the countries of origin of foreign entrants - 10 735 Chinese students study in Ukrainian higher education institutions.
In second place - Azerbaijan, 4 308 students. From India, 1 802 entrants came to Ukraine. Also in the statistics for 2024 from the Ministry of Education and Science it is stated that 514 students from the Russian Federation are studying in Ukrainian universities. Most of the foreigners were accepted for study by Kyiv National University of Technology and Design - 1 797 people. The second place is ranked by the Semen Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University with 1 756 students.
The third is the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" - 1130 foreign students. The most popular area among foreign entrants is medicine, it was elected 4 488 people. The second most popular management is 3 841 foreign students. In third place the economy is 1 127 students. Also popular law, pharmacy and musical art. From January 1 to October 31, 2024, the invitations of foreigners were registered in Ukrainian universities. Last year, they were 14. 3 thousand, in 2022 - 17.
