Poland will not file a lawsuit against the Russian Federation in the 2010 Smolensk Avarrow case - the Foreign Ministry

Although the investigation commission was liquidated, the Polish Defense Ministry announced that in the near future they would create a special group there, which will analyze all aspects of the liquidated commission. Poland officially refused to file a lawsuit against Russia to the European Court of Human Rights in the case of a plane crash near Smolensk in 2010. This is stated in the report of the Polish Foreign Ministry, namely its chairman of Radoslav Sikorsky.

According to Sikorsky, the application, which does not even have theoretical chances for success, gives the state and taxpayers for unjustified expenses. It should be noted that on the eve of January 15, 2024, the new Cabinet of Ministers of Poland dissolved the government commission that re -investigated the Smolensk plane crash.

Deputy Defense Minister Caesarius Tomchyk stated that the liquidation of the commission means the completion of hundreds of millions of zlotys for activities that "has nothing to do with the causes of the Smolensk catastrophe. " The plane crash was killed by President of Poland Lech Kaczynski, several high -ranking officials, civilians and clergy. A total of 96 victims, including 8 crew members. The cause of the accident has not yet been established.

In 2017, the Polish prosecutor's office qualified accusations against the Russian dispatchers on the Smolensk-North Tower as a "conscious bringing of the aircraft crew to a plane crash. " Previously, the wine of the dispatchers was qualified "unconscious". We will remind, in December 2023 the Ministry of National Defense of Poland declared the completion of the work of the Smolensk subcommittee on the investigation of the disaster of the government TU-154 in 2010.
