US Secretary of State revealed how many North Korean soldiers of the Russian Federation transferred to the Kursk region

According to the US Secretary of State, those of the North Korea, whom the Russian Federation transferred to the Kursk region, learn to perform basic infantry operations, study on drones and be artillerymen. The DPRK soldiers in the amount of 8,000 people were transferred to the Russian command in the Kursk region, but until they participated in hostilities against the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced at a briefing by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

"According to the latest data, up to 8,000 of them was transferred to the Kursk region. We have not yet seen these troops involved in hostilities against Ukrainian troops, but we expect it to happen in the coming days," Blinken said. He said that the total number of DPRK soldiers, which is currently in Russia, is 10,000 soldiers. Those North Korean soldiers, which have already been relocated to Kursk region, according to Blinken, are trained in drones.

They are also prepared to be artillerymen and performed basic infantry operations, including the digging of trenches. According to the US Secretary of State, all this indicates that the Russian Federation plans to attract troops of the DPRK in operations at the front. In addition, Blinken stressed that if North Korean servicemen take part in hostilities or operations to support Russian fighting against Ukraine, "they will become legal military purposes.
