The video with the defeat of the vessel was posted in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The department reported that they had conducted training in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. The Ivanovets military boat was attacked by the Black Sea Fleet with an anti-ship winged rocket-target rocket. On the record you can see that the rocket hit the middle of the ship and exploded.

The vessel was armed with 76-mm AK-176, two paired 533 mm torpedo devices and a jet bomb of RBU-6000 "Smerch-2", and the means of air defense for the ship served as a 30-mm automatic gun AK-630m and the anti-aircraft missile complex. During the annexation of Crimea in March 2014, the military personnel of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation tried to force the team of Ukrainian Corvette "Ternopil" to surrender. As a result, the crew refused, being completely cut off from the land.

A few days later, the captain of the battle ship Maxim Yemelyanenko reported that he noticed signs of preparation of the capture of the corvette. The staff was ready to repel the attack. After the seizure of the vessel by Russian invaders Yemelyanenko is the only team of 100 people, moved to the side of the Russian Federation. The Peacemaker portal states that after the state betrayal, he was admitted to the service ship "Pitty".
