The largest percentage in Europe: 80% of Finns are ready to fight if the Russian Federation is attacking - sociologist

According to Socialist journalist Arseniy Swinarenko, Russia is a great threat to all, but the inhabitants of Finland are mostly ready to stand up for their homeland. Approximately 80% of Finland citizens interviewed are ready to defend their country at the front if the Russian Federation has been invaded. Such figures were voiced by the journalist-sociologist of the Finnish Youth Research Community Arseniy Zvinarenko on the air of the TV channel "Kiev 24".

According to him, interviewed people are mostly ready to defend their homeland in any case, even if the result of such protection seems uncertain. "That is, the large size of Russia and the large size, the Russian army is a threat, but the vast majority (Finns, ed. ) Ready to defend Finland in 80%," - said Arseniy Svinarenko.

At the same time, he notes that the survey showed that citizens under 25 years are less likely to express their readiness to defend Finland in the event of an aggressor attack. Over the past few years, this statistics have become even lower. If it was 77%before, now - 69%. At the same time, if you take a survey throughout Europe, then the percentage of those who are ready to defend their homeland in the event of an attack, the highest in Finland, was continued by Arseniy Zvinarenko.

We will remind, on December 21 it was reported that every sixth citizen of Germany and Poland is ready to defend their country in the event of a war with the Russian Federation. According to the survey, 40% of the Germans will not take weapons under no circumstances, and every third Pole is ready to run to a safe place. On December 15, 2023, it was reported that Ukrainians were ready for concessions for the sake of the end of the war.

Sociologists say that in Ukraine the number of those who are ready for territorial concessions in exchange for the end of the war are increasing. For six months their number increased by 6%, and in a year by 8%. The survey, published on February 10, 2023, showed that a quarter of the Germans would have left Germany in the event of a war with the Russian Federation, but 11%were ready to fight for their homeland.
