Germany will hand over new air defense complexes for the protection of the Odessa region - the media

According to journalists, the Armed Forces will receive one additional IRIS-T installation, as well as over a dozen Gepard systems. New systems have to come to Ukraine by the end of 2023. Then Germany will send Iris-T after manufacture. Germany plans to transfer additional air defense means to the Odessa region from Russian air attacks to Ukraine. About it writes Bloomberg with reference to its sources. According to journalists, Berlin wants to help Kiev protect grain infrastructure in Odessa.

German MP Marcus Faber, who is a member of the Defense Committee on the Lower House of Parliament of Germany, confirmed that Ukraine will receive more Iris-T and Gepard systems, as well as additional ammunition. The new batch includes radio stations for heavy armored vehicles, tractors, semi -trailers, cars, caterpillars Bandvagn 206 (BV206) and other equipment.
