In the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region, the Russian agent "drained" the enemy information on the base and movement of the Armed Forces near the advanced. He passed the data through a chat bot, told in the SBU. A resident of Dnipropetrovsk region, which was an agent of the Russian Federation, mobilized to the Armed Forces. He was detained by special forces when trying to escape to Transnistria. This was reported in the SBU press service on Telegram.

"The Security Service has prevented the escape from Ukraine by the agent of the Russian Federation, who was collecting intelligence on defense forces on the Eastern Front," the message reads. The SBU emphasized that the Russian agent was detained when he was preparing to cross the border river, using hydraulic and flippers. A resident of Dnipropetrovsk region in the middle of "zero" graduated from Moscow State University and received a lawyer diploma.

During the training of the man, Russian special services were noticed, but after release and return to Ukraine, he did not carry out reconnaissance activity in favor of Russia. However, in 2023 he turned to the military enlistment office and mobilized to one of the Armed Forces. As a result, he was sent to the positions of Ukrainian fighters in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region.

Being in the Donbass, the Russian agent began to "drain" the enemy information about the places of base and movement of Ukrainian units near the front. In particular, he conveyed information to a hostile chat bot, which is administered by representatives of military intelligence of the Russian Federation. "After several sessions of communication with the Russian special service, its agent, understanding the inevitability of punishment, fled from the area of ​​base of his unit.

He then reached the border of Vinnytsia to get to the unrecognized Transnistria," the SBU said. The SBU investigators informed him of the suspicion of two articles of the Criminal Code - Part 2 of Art. 111 (State betrayal committed in martial law) and ⁠. 4 tbsp. 408 (desertion). The man is in custody, he is threatened with life imprisonment.

We will remind, on February 22 it became known that the SBU detained the informant who worked with special services of the Russian Federation, in the Nikolaev area. He collected intelligence information about the movement of the Armed Forces with marine and river routes.
