It is probably an attempt to conceal the evidence of a violation of the Convention on Chemical Weapons (KHZ), the participant of which is considered by the Russian Federation. About it writes "Institute of War Study" in the summary of December 24. The 810th Marine Corps Brigade on December 22 in its Telegram-channel announced "radical changes of tactics" against the Defense Forces of Ukraine in Krynki: reported on grenades K-51, which are planned to be dumped into Ukrainian positions from drones.
Aerosol "tears" of non -lethal grenades are filled with chloropicrin or chlorobenzalmalononitril. These special means are prohibited by the Convention on Chemical Weapons (KHZ) in hostilities. According to Radio Liberty, the grenade applies to 400 square meters in closed premises. m. K-51 is several times more powerful than a standard police grenade with tear gas used to accelerate rallies. It was created in the USSR for military needs and special services.
K-51 is considered an unleased remedy, at the same time a pomegranate can deprive a person for some time to resist, so it becomes a slight target. Between December 23 and 24, the 810th Marine Corps Brigade was edited: a link to the K-51 grenade was removed. At the same time, the screenshots spread in the public.
Russian sources criticized representatives of the 810th Marines for having declassified the "new tactics"-this indicates that the Russian forces may have planned to use K-51 or other special means on the front line. It may be that someone from the Russian leadership advised to remove the mention of K-51. We will remind that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation advanced near Avdiivka and Kreminna, there was no advancement under Bakhmut. This was reported by ISW analysts.
