When the fire is made, it is felt more than the AK-74m, and the heating of the trunk during intense firing, how to compare with "seventy-fourth", is also faster. This is probably due to the shorter barrel-290 mm in the AK-12K versus 451 mm in the AK-74m. Due to reduced dimensions while maintaining combat characteristics, the AK-12K will be in demand in melee. In addition, the shooters noted quite acceptable accuracy in automatic fire mode.
The presence of the subcontractor is positively evaluated, but it has an unreliable mount. During firing, the descent is felt smoother and softer, which also has a positive effect on the accuracy of firing. AK-12K was developed in 2024 in the framework of the development and design work "Malek K 5. 45", agreed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
In general, although the machine was developed in the interests of security forces, it received good grades from the fighters of the assault and landing units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. However, the use of a machine gun in extreme combat conditions, to put it mildly, doubtful.
