In the Russian Federation they wanted to earn: as river tankers were in the Black Sea and which led to a fuel oil spill

Both crashes were intended for river transportation, but found themselves in a stormy sea for transshipment of petroleum products near the Kerch Strait. In Russia, they try to eliminate the consequences of the accident of two tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239", which were crashed in the Kerch Strait on December 15. In total, there were more than eight thousand tons of fuel oil on board.

The Greenpeace International Conservation Organization states that such emissions can be one of the largest man -made disasters in the Black Sea. But the accident happened for a banal reason: the Russian leadership just wanted to make money. In addition, this has already happened in the past. About it writes "Caucasus. Realities". Both tankers were crashed as a result of a storm, specified in the Ministry of Emergencies.

The first signal of the disaster sent the Volgoneft-212 vessel-at about 9am, it was torn by a wave of the nasal part-before dinner, the feed went under the water. At about 10 am, a signal of a disaster was given by Volgoneft-239 tanker with 14 people on board: the crew made a decision "to go into drift", that is, try to keep the ship on the spot. By the evening, the drift tanker was nailed 80 meters from the Krasnodar port of Taman.

The staff of the first victim tanker was evacuated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and a rescue tugboat, one person died due to hypothermia. The rescue of the Volgoneft-239 crew was suspended at night because of bad weather, by morning, 200 were rescued.

Two criminal cases on the accident began the management of the IC in the annexed Crimea-initially both violated under an article on violation of the rules of safety of traffic and operation of maritime transport, but after the death of a member of the crew "Volgoneft-212" one of them was re-qualified by more prosecution: violation of traffic safety rules and exploitation of maritime transport, which led to death from negligence. Each of the tankers had 4,300 tons of fuel oil.

In Moscow, a working group was collected to eliminate the effects of fuel spill, it was headed by the Deputy Head of the Russian Federation Vitaliy Saveliev. How many of this amount was in the Black Sea - he did not report. But the fuel oil was on the beaches of the Krasnodar region the next day. Krasnodar activist Yuri Ozarovsky published footage of fuel spots on several beaches of Vityazevo village near Anapoja. On the shore, they noticed a dark film of birds - seagulls, ducks and swans.

Animals that were near the shore - including stray dogs, were injured. They also reported the first dead dolphin. 267 Ministry of Emergencies and about 1000 local volunteers were involved in the elimination of the consequences of the accident in the Krasnodar region. Russian river tankers were already crashed in the Black Sea. In 2007, the Volgoneft-139 tanker sank in the Kerch Strait.

During the storm, he was broken in half-according to official data, from 4 thousand tons of fuel oil, which were transported on board, about 1300-1600 tons got into the environment. The total volume of cargoes of tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" is two and a half times larger.

Krasnodar ecologist who participated in the study of the shore after the 2007 accident and wished to remain unknown, notes that both catastrophes had led the same factor - a raid pass of petroleum products through the Kerch Strait. The River-More Tankers like Volgoneft are transported from the Volga refinery to the Kerch Strait, a large tonnage marine tanker-fuel is drawn, and then it goes to export.

"It was invented in the 1990s, when Russia's port capacities were not enough because Ukraine has set its conditions for its ports. It continued even though oil terminals were built. This activity itself was quite profitable in that plan, There is no need for infrastructure in infrastructure: the tanker has been put up, pumping devices - and how much you want.

He notes that the Kerch Strait is difficult for navigation: the fairway is narrow, everything else around is a shallow, and the storms are very devastating, especially in winter. And it is the desire of the Russian Federation to earn river tankers into such a dangerous area. Volgoneft tankers under numbers 212 and 239 were built in 1969 and 1973, respectively. During the redesign, the middle part cut the middle part for both tankers. It was on this weld that they collapsed.

In recent months, they both delivered goods between the port of "Caucasus" and the berths of the refinery on the Volga - by 2022 the order for the transportation of "Volgatransnafta", which they possess, received from "Rosneft". After the accident, it turned out that the Tanker "Volgoneft-239" did not have a swimming permission at all. In the register of the Russian river register, the tanker is shown under the status of "suspended action of documents".

The tankers belong to Kama Shiping LLC, formed in Perm 2016. His CEO is Konstantin Selkov. Kama Shiping is one of the village family companies: Konstantin, his brother Alexei and their father Victor-ex-director of the Kama Shipping Company. The three of them own Kamatransoil LLC, which is engaged in wholesale fuel trade, as well as navigable companies "Kamaoil" and "Watch". Konstantin Selkov, in addition to Kama Shipping, manages Kama-Taer-this is leased and leased by water transport and equipment.

One of the owners of the latter is Viktor Selkov. Yes, Volgoneft Tanker 212 performed to order the Samara navigation company "Staksel". The EU foreign ministers have approved the 15th Package of Sanctions on Russia because of the war in Ukraine. Restrictive measures are aimed at combating the oil tankers of the "shadow fleet", through which Russia bypasses the "price ceiling" and affiliated oil companies and carriers.

"Shadow" vessels do not have reliable insurance, which makes them potentially dangerous for the environment. The joint investigation of the Sourcematerial journalistic and non -profit journalistic group has found at least nine cases since 2021, when Russian ships have left oil spills in world waters: incidents occurred in Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, and Red. Recall that in addition to petroleum products, Russian ships pollute the oceans with ammonia.
