Joint production of air defense systems in Ukraine: Zelensky told about work on agreements

Zelensky appealed to the participants of the forum to draw their attention to the defense and industrial complex of Ukraine. "The Ukrainian production of weapons, equipment, shells we are growing is our number one production priority. And some German companies have already started a substantive cooperation with us in this area. And we invite everyone else," the President said.

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine is interested in strong relations with the "most powerful" states, in particular with Germany, to provide its cities with effective air defense against Russian terror. "Plus we are working on agreements with partners on the joint production of air defense systems. This is a strategic task. I have no doubt that we are able to implement it," Zelensky added. Air defense is a priority for Ukraine since the outset of the war.

During the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States, an agreement was reached on the joint production of the necessary weapons, including air defense. Although these are not direct agreements with manufacturers, three signed memorandums open up opportunities for developing cooperation with American weapons. The office of the President of Ukraine announced the arrival of experts who will develop a plan for the production of weapons in our country.

According to the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industry, Alexander Kamyshyn, in the next few years in Ukraine will produce "complex system things". We will remind, the military expert, the colonel of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Seleznev said that Ukraine needs at least 13 systems of Patriots SPR to close the sky from Russian rockets. Currently, the Navy has only two such systems.
