The A-50 reconnaissance aircraft has onboard equipment that allows the enemy to ...

Less than 10 on all PKS. Why for Russia the loss of A-50 aircraft is a heavy blow

The A-50 reconnaissance aircraft has onboard equipment that allows the enemy to see the territory of Ukraine as on the palm of the hand. The invaders are not able to build such planes. On the evening of January 14, information was spread on social networks that the Russian Federation lost the A-50 aircraft over the Azov Sea. On January 15, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Valery Zaluzhny confirmed the interception of A-50 and IL-22.

The focus understood for what purpose the board was used, where and what could be confused. According to analytics Olga Goncharenko, the Russian Federation lost the A-50 aircraft with the onboard number RF-50601 "Krasny" in the sky above Ukraine. The A-50 aircraft is intended for far radar detection and control. The first flight for the A-50 took place on December 19, 1978. He came into service 10 years later - in 1988.

The main task of the A-50 aircraft is to conduct reconnaissance of air, ground and surface purposes. To do this, he has a Shmel complex and other equipment. The board is able to detect up to 800 km of ballistic missiles within a radius, and the radar station is able to find and accompany aircraft and winged missiles up to 700 km. In addition, the A-50 is a complete air command point and can give targeting for fighters that actively uses the enemy in the war against Ukraine.

To identify targets on Earth, the A-50 should be at high altitude to compensate for the terrain. The onboard equipment is able to detect ballistic missiles up to 400 km away, and the accumulation of armored vehicles is 450 km. Thus, when A-50 is in the air, it can detect Ukrainian launchers, air defense stations or aviation. In fact, he sees the territory of Ukraine as on the palm of his hand.

In addition, the Russian Federation stated that the A-50 aircraft was taught to work in connection with the C-400 air defense complex. The aircraft illuminates targets for an anti -aircraft missile that can beat on the ground. Defense Express explains that the head of the missile self -alignment can operate in a semi -active mode in the middle flight area. It should take a reflected signal from Schmel, and on the final area of the flight to turn on its own active system for finding goals.

Thus, the rocket flight can be achieved, but it is in theory. It is unknown whether the Schmel radar station can illuminate the target for the 40H6 missile from the C-400. 31 A-50 aircraft were manufactured in the Soviet Union. They have been in service with the USSR and since 2010 on armed India. Currently, 9 units are left in the PCS of "Living" boards-6 in the A-50U and 3 version in the A-50 version. Planes of this type are no longer produced.

During the full-scale war, Ukraine has already attacked A-50 in Belarus with UAV. Therefore, about 7 A-50 aircraft left in the Russian Federation. The crew consists of 10-11 people: there are 5 members of the flight crew on board. Defense Express suggests that the A-50 crew probably saw the anti-aircraft missile flying on them. However, A-50 is built on the basis of IL-76. He is not capable of making maneuvers with evasion.

At the same time, it has a complex system of infrared obstacles and a complex of REB, which should protect against anti -aircraft missiles. Radio & nukes enthusiasts identified a place on a satellite where A-50 or Il-22 worked. Due to clouds, the type of board failed. However, his path was in the area of the temporarily occupied Primorsk, in the Zaporozhye region.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Valery Zaluzhny, confirmed the destruction of the aircraft of a long-range radar detection A-50 and IL-22 air control. This information was also confirmed by the Air Force of Ukraine. In the theory, the A-50 could be "wandering" with GEM-T missiles. They have a range of altitude goals within a radius of 160 km. It should also be noted that the height of the flight also depends on what could knock down the Russian plane.
