According to eyewitnesses, about 30 drones were circling over the city, and this caused concern among residents. There have been calls from the public to be cautious and charge mobile devices in advance due to the threat of power outages. At around 8:00 p. m. , reports of power outages in the central areas of Donetsk began to arrive. An hour later, a new wave of drones was observed over the city, flying over residential areas and industrial zones.
Later, "Typovy Donetsk" reported the automatic disconnection of 22 transformer substations in the Voroshilov and Kyiv districts, as a result of which about 3,100 subscribers remained without electricity. In addition, photos of the wreckage of the downed drone in the Budyonniv district were published in the public. At 10:13 p. m. , footage of the consequences of the UAV wreckage falling on the territory of the Hryhoriv school in the Voroshilovsky district appeared.
As a result of the incident, the school territory was damaged, but the details of the victims were not reported. The occupation authorities and the Ministry of Emergency Situations did not comment on the details of the attack, but the head of the Donetsk city district, Oleksiy Kulemzin, confirmed the introduction of an air alert, explosions over the city and the fact that electricity was cut off in some areas.
