The fourth thematic conference in the continuation of the Peace Summit was dedicated to the Peace Formula to prevent the escalation of war

The head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak took part in a thematic online conference dedicated to the ninth point of the formula of peace "preventing escalation of war and repetition of aggression". This conference became the fourth in a row, and according to the results of each such event, proposals for the second world summit will be formed. The meeting was attended by representatives of 66 states and international organizations.

The Ukrainian side was also represented by the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevgeny Perebinis, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration Sergey Boyev, advisers of the head of the office of the head of state Dariya Zarivna and Alexander Bevz. According to him, the war in Ukraine has global consequences, as nuclear, food, energy and environmental safety were threatened.   “We need an updated security architecture based on international law and supported by Ukraine's own defense capabilities. This system should cover not only the military component, but also sanctions, financial support, investment and broad cooperation in various fields, ”said the Presidential Office Head.

He also noted that Ukraine, along with partners, is working on an upgrade of security architecture, which should help restrain and stop aggression around the world. The deputy head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva noted that 32 states have already joined the G7 joint declaration in 2023 on security guarantees for Ukraine.   "In total, as a result of signing 26 bilateral security agreements, we have about 40 billion declared military assistance for Ukraine only in 2024," he added.

The UK Prime Minister Advisor Timothy Barrow stressed that partner states should support Ukraine on the way to a fair peace and develop a mechanism for preventing future aggression. The United Kingdom is the co -co -co -co -editor of the Peace Formula and has become the first state with which Ukraine has entered into a bilateral security agreement on the basis of a G7 joint declaration. The result of the conference was a joint communique, the text of which is given below.

Communique reflects the vision of states to prevent escalation and repetition of aggression as a system of measures that covers two- and multilateral obligations and agreements in the sphere of security, strengthening of Ukraine's defensive capabilities, effective implementation , sanction policy, as well as a response mechanism in the event of a new aggression.
