Born of war: what Ukrainian manufacturers of armored vehicles are offered by the Armed Forces (photo)

With the start of a full -scale war, the Ukrainian defense industry has moved from the production of armored vehicles of a "police" type to full -fledged combat platforms that meet modern requirements. However, a limited defense budget does not allow you to buy all models at the same time - a weighted approach to the choice of equipment capable of closing the critical needs of the front is required. This is stated in the analytical material of Defense Express.

All four machines were created on specialized military chassis and equipped with an independent suspension. However, each of them has unique design features and priorities, formed by both technical requirements and combat use. Developed by Ukrainian armored vehicles, Warta-2 was the result of adaptation of equipment to the front conditions.

It is distinguished by the ballistic protection of Stanag 4569 Level 3 with the use of spreading reserving, as well as the V-shaped bottom and hanging floor, which enhances mine protection. The key feature is the ability to install a combat module with a 30mm gun that brings the car closer to BMP fire. The platform retains the formula 4 × 4 and the weight within 14 tons.

It should be noted that in May, the armored car "Warta-2" completed the codification process and received admission to the supply of Ukraine's defense. The machine has received a software and hardware complex with AI, thermal images and complemented reality, which allows threats to up to 400 m.

Gyurza-02 demonstrates the level of protection Stanag 4569 Level 2, but has enhanced mine protection and aluminum. With a weight of 16 tons, it accommodates up to 8 paratroopers and 2 crew members. This makes her a wonderful candidate for the role of an armored personnel carrier or evacuation machine. Inguar Defense has introduced Inguar-3 as a new generation modular platform. The machine is visually and functionally reminiscent of American JLTV, at the same time offers the ballistic protection Stanag 4569 Level 3 and the mine/3b mine protection. A distinctive feature was the replacement of mirrors with a circular survey camera, which improves situational awareness. In addition, Inguar-3 is considered as a basis for a 30mm module and even 6 × 6 platform with heavy weapons.

The armored vehicle has a good balance of mobility and protection, clearance of 430 mm and a weight of 14 tons.

Ballistic protection corresponds to Stanag 4569 Level 2, but the manufacturer states the mine/3b durability, which potentially makes the Cossack leader in this class. It can be completed with an automatic transmission, which is critical of the evacuation of wounded soldiers. The authors of the material also noted the export potential of domestic samples, given that during the creation of equipment, Ukrainian developers were guided by combat experience.

However, it is necessary to take into account the wishes of customers who will choose armored vehicles for themselves. "The Ukrainian defense industry continues to develop, presenting more and more sophisticated samples that are not inferior, and sometimes even dominated by foreign analogues," the observers summed up.
