He stressed that Ukraine is consistently working on consolidation of support from international partners to respond to human rights abuses in temporarily occupied Crimea and achieve the goal of de -occupation of the Ukrainian Peninsula.
The Deputy Head of the Presidential Office noted the newly adopted renewed resolution of the UN General Assembly "The situation with human rights in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, Ukraine", which strongly condemns the new unprecedented wave of the Crime disappearance, as well as so -called filtration procedures, including displaced persons.
“The support of this resolution has become the highest for all years of adoption of similar documents by the UN General Assembly - 82 votes. This clearly demonstrates that the international coalition of Ukraine's like-minded countries is expanding, but the aggressor country continues to lose its international positions, because only 13 countries have voted against the resolution, ”Igor Zhovkva emphasized.
The Deputy Head of the Office of the Head of State emphasized the important achievements in promoting the initiative of President Vladimir Zelensky - an international format of cooperation "Crimean Platform", which this year has reached a new quality level. He recalled that on August 23, the second summit of the Crimean platform at the level of heads of state and government took place, and on October 25 - the first parliamentary summit, which started a new measurement of initiative.
The Crimean Platform has also increased significantly due to the intensification of work in expert format and starting activities in the academic dimension. “The main signal of the participants of both this year's summits of the Crimean platform: Crimea is Ukraine. Our partners have clearly stated not only about not recognizing the attempt of illegal annexation of Crimea, but also the need for its de -occupation and the legal right of Ukraine to return the peninsula, ”Igor Zhovkva said.
He also believed that the Crimean platform will continue its active work in all dimensions to spread in the world a clear understanding that Crimea is an inseparable part of Ukraine, and it should be as soon as possible, as any other area of our country.
The deputy head of the Presidential Office expressed his hope that thanks to the consolidation of the efforts of Ukraine and its international partners, this would happen as soon as possible, and noted that the return of Crimea would be part of the true victory of our country.
