"The situation in the city is difficult": Russian assault groups are trying to gain a foothold in Pokrovsk, — DeepState

Russian troops are trying to maintain the pace of the advance, sending small groups of infantry into the city - at least 5-6 people, sometimes up to 10. A significant number of enemy manpower was recorded in the eastern and northern districts of the city, and some units tried to advance in the direction of Hryshiny. At the same time, the Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold key positions, in particular in the southern part of Pokrovsk.

Therefore, the city remains mainly in the so-called "gray zone" - with unstable control and dynamic changes of the contact line. According to hunters and paratroopers, Russian units try to avoid open battles, preferring hidden movement and accumulation of forces. In the northern quarters, Ukrainian units carried out a gradual clearing of the streets, but after its completion, the enemy returned to the same areas, moving between the streets and shelters.

Defense forces point out that effectively countering such maneuvers without a significant reserve of infantry is possible mainly with the help of strike drones. At the same time, this method has limitations, including dependence on weather conditions. Russian troops, according to analysts, are aware of the situation and are trying to take advantage of gaps in the battle formations of the Ukrainian forces.

It is worth noting that, according to the information of the General Staff, as of 22:00 on October 29, in the Pokrovsky direction, during the day, Russian troops carried out 47 assault and offensive operations in the Shakhove, Dorozhne, Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Zvirove, Kotlyna, Molodetske, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Novoeconomichne, Chervyn Liman, Myrnograd, Balagan, Lysivka and Pokrovska districts. Battles continue in three locations.

In particular, the Ukrainian military destroyed 58 occupiers, two units of equipment and six drones, damaged artillery, and captured one enemy. In other directions, the situation is also difficult. Thus, in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian troops repelled several attacks and protected settlements from airstrikes and shelling.

Instead, the enemy tried to advance in the South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk and Lymansk directions, but the Ukrainian units held their positions and the fighting continues. In addition, the enemy also tried to make a wedge in the Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, and Kostyantynivsk directions, but the Ukrainian troops restrained the attacks. We will remind that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has developed a plan for the possible retreat of units from Pokrovsk.
