Previously, the needs of gas turbines were closed by the German company Siemens, which served them in Russia. According to the publication, a few weeks ago, Iran mastered the domestic production of even more sophisticated gas turbine MGT-75 of class F. In turn, in Russia, they declare that they had developed a domestic turbine no worse than German.
It is about the industrial turbine engine AL-41 ST-25, made at the plant of the "combined engine-building corporation" (included in the rise) in Ufa, Bashkortostan. The authorities assure that this turbine is no different from foreign counterparts. It is intended for replacement of import analogues in the fuel and energy complex of the Russian Federation, has a capacity of 25 MW and "is characterized by high efficiency, reliability and environmental friendliness".
The German concern Siemens, which has worked in Russia since 1853, closed its business in the Russian Federation in February 2024. In July 2017, the company got into a major scandal after it became known that Russia had sent the Siemens turbine to Crimea, despite the sanctions of the European Union. The German concern immediately stated that the information that appeared in the media on the supply of turbines for power plants to the occupied Crimea was not true.
However, it was later revealed that one of the companies that participated in the installation and commissioning of the sanctions in Crimea gas turbines for power plants was the Russian company CJSC "Interravtomatics", in which Siemens owned 45. 7% of shares. Already in August 2018, the European Union expanded sanctions against Russia through the supply of Siemens turbine to annexed Crimea.
