To spread: on the night of June 4 in Yaroslavl there was a fire at the motor plant "Avtodizel" (IMZ), where diesel engines are produced, in particular for intercontinental complexes of PC-12M "Topol" and PC-24 "Yar". According to official data, the fire occurred in one of the production boxes during testing of a 12-cylinder engine. The fire was reported to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Emergencies at 2:03.

After 74 minutes, at 3:17, the fire covered an area of about 400 square meters. 50 firefighters and 16 special equipment were involved in extinguishing. According to representatives of the enterprise, the fire occurred inside one of the boxes and allegedly did not affect the work of the plant. Autoidizel enterprise is one of the largest Russian manufacturers of diesel engines, gearboxes, clutches and stationary units.

In May 2024, the plant came under US sanctions for cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation - the enterprise supplies power units for Russian military equipment. IMS engines of different series are actively used in the defensive complex of Russia. In particular: the fire at the plant occurred against the backdrop of recent reports of strikes at other facilities of the defense-industrial complex of Russia.

In particular, earlier reports were reported by the drones of enterprises in Tula, which are part of the Rostek Corporation, including NGO "Alloy", which is engaged in the production of volley fire systems and aviation missiles. We will remind, in the city of Rylsk Kursk region of the Russian Federation the series of explosions thundered. The drones attacked the region, causing the fire to rise at the scene.
