In Ukraine can increase the working week to 60 hours for the war period: who is this concerning

During martial law, the number of working hours for some Ukrainians can be increased from 40 to 60 per week, and the duration of weekly continuous rest is reduced to 24 hours. Pursuant to Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine "On Organization of Labor Relations in Martial Affairs", the duration of working time during the period of martial law for some citizens can be increased to 60 hours. This is stated on the official government portal.

The report of the Eastern Interregional Directorate of the State Labor Service of Ukraine states that the increase in the work week during the war is provided for people working at critical infrastructure in the defense sphere and life. In terms of infrastructure employees, who under the law set a shortened working week, during martial law, their working hours can be increased to 40 hours a week.

At the same time, a weekly continuous vacation for critical infrastructure workers can be reduced to 24 hours. The start and end time, as well as the number of working hours, is set by the employer. It is also reported that remuneration is made in the amount increased in proportion to the increase in labor rate.

It should be reminded that on July 19, a bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, according to which employers want to oblige all debt from salaries, as well as pay a penalty for overdue payments. We also wrote that on July 20, the Ministry of Justice announced the intention to expand the number of jobs for prisoners.
