Expert Pavel Luzin told this in the publication of the American analytical edition of Jamestown Foundation. He notes that despite the fact that after 1991, Russia has kept thousands of tanks and howitzers, these storage bases are not endless. Moreover, Moscow cannot replenish the stocks of these weapons and materials.
"If Ukraine is able to maintain a high level of combat intensity and the growing level of Russian losses will continue in 2024, it will be much more difficult for the Russian army to maintain its military power for offensive operations in 2025," Luzin stressed.
Analyzing data on the availability of tanks and other storage equipment, the expert cites the following units: the following indicators are given in units of self -propelled artillery: the group of towed artillery shows the following data: the author of the publication indicates that these figures reflect the availability of storage equipment, storage facilities. And they do not take into account the equipment that can already be moved to recover to Russian enterprises of the OPC.
In this way, this situation illustrates the general trend of depletion of equipment and weapons received since the Soviet times. At the same time, the situation should be a signal for the event to further strengthen and scales Ukraine's military support, the expert summed up.
