Russian missiles fall on playgrounds and people who just get to work, while about 200 citizens of the Russian Federation are registered at the Czech International Airport daily. This explanation of the reasons for the ban was made by the Minister. The ban extends to Russians with visas issued by any EU country. Now Russian citizens who want to visit the Czech Republic for tourism, sports or culture will be denied entry.
The Czech Republic followed the example of Baltic countries, Poland and Finland, which had previously closed the borders for tourists from Russia. In early autumn, the European Union suspended an agreement on simplified visa visa. The visa fee increased from 35 to 80 euros, the time of registration of inbound documents increased, and additional documents were required to come to Europe. In addition, the rules for issuing multiple visas have intensified.
According to the recommendations of the European Commission, the citizens of the Russian Federation without thorough reasons for staying in the EU territory are given a lower priority in the consideration of the application. The EU countries were also recommended to consider statements from Russian citizens more carefully and not to issue multiple visas, unless there are confidence that the conditions of entry would be fulfilled.
