According to the channel administrations, three boards that had to "strike objects in the territory of Ukraine" were unable to complete the task. According to the public, the strategic bomber of Tu-160 "Ivan Jarigin" with the onboard number "04" did not start the launch of rockets because the mechanism of the starting installation has failed. In another Russian aircraft Tu-160, Alexei Plokhov with the onboard number "16", according to the canal, lightning.
Because of this, the pilot was unable to launch rockets and was forced to return to the airfield. According to the channel, glazing was damaged in the pilot cabin. Another Tu-160 for unknown reasons was unable to fly out of the Angels airfield. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not comment on technical problems on the Tu-160 board at the time of publication during a combined attack on Ukraine on September 3.
The Ukrainian Military portal wrote about technical malfunctions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The publication suggests that the refusal of the boards may indicate the inability of the Russian defense industry to properly serve strategic planes. Recall that on the night of September 3, the Russians launched 526 air targets in Ukraine, including Shahed drones and imitators, winged Caliber missiles and strategic winged X-101 missiles.
