From 4700 to 7800 UAH: how to issue a pension for children of dead and missing persons of the Armed Forces fighters

To spread: children of servicemen who died or disappeared during the war are entitled to a pension from the state due to the loss of a breadwinner. Payments can be made in the Pension Fund of Ukraine. In this case, the amount of the pension will depend on the circumstances of death or disappearance. The peculiarities of the pension accrual to the children of servicemen were told on the PFU portal.

The Pension Fund explained that the payment of children, as well as other disabled members of the family of a serviceman, is conducted in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Pension Support of Persons Relieved from Military Service and Some Other Persons". The law, among others, has section 4, which describes in detail who is entitled to assistance from the state and in what size. Meanwhile, the PFU added that the payment is made in the regional branches of the institution.

According to the Law of Ukraine, a pension is entitled to retirement due to the loss of a breadwinner: the pension depends on the circumstances of the death or disappearance of missing, and they were specified in the Pension Fund. In addition, there is a lower limit of payments that are tied to a serviceman. What pension the children can receive: the Pension Fund has specified that the wife (husband) of the dead person has the right to pay.

It is also about all the disabled family members who lost the breadwinner. The PFU portal briefly described the procedure for pension registration for children. The procedure depends on whether the victims were retired: we note that in March 2024, focus wrote about the details of obtaining a pension for all categories of citizens who lost the breadwinner, not just about children.
