The Russian Federation has exported 19 thousand Ukrainian children and continues to deport new groups daily - Lubinets

According to the Ombudsman, if the Ukrainian authorities return to one child exported daily, the process will take more than 50 years. At this point, 19 540 Ukrainian children have been officially confirmed by Russia. This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets during the International Conference on Human Rights "Freedom or Fear".

In addition, according to the politician, the Russian Federation continues to deport "more and more groups" children from the territory of Ukraine every day. "There are currently more than 19 540 officially confirmed deported Ukrainian children. If we return one child every day, we need 55 years," he said.

According to the Ombudsman, the Ukrainian authorities, despite a small number of tools that could help with the return of stolen children, have many initiatives and are constantly looking for new ones. "But unfortunately, we do not have many tools how to bring all Ukrainian deported children. But we are looking for new tools for that," Lubinets said.

We will remind, on Wednesday, December 6, the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak reported that Ukraine managed to return eight deported children and those who found themselves in the temporarily occupied territories. Four girls and four boys between the ages of 8 and 18 are united with their families at home. We will remind, on September 14 Ukraine returned 11 more children from the occupied part of the Kherson region. Most of them have parents.

On September 13, the Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets announced that Ukraine managed to return three more children from the temporarily occupied territories and regions of Russia. On September 12, Ukraine returned 13 more children from the occupied territories of Kherson, Lugansk and Zaporizhzhya regions. On September 8, Ukraine returned 9 children who were in temporary occupation. One of them survived the Russian captivity and interrogated on far -fetched accusations.
