US Army leadership reduces the number of special forces: what are the liberation in SCO

US legislators believe that the reduction of the number of special operations forces, which are "on the edge of the spear", intensifies China's position. US lawmakers and US Army leadership are to reduce the number of special operations (SCOs). However, according to some American politicians, such steps will lead to increased positions of China, so the reduction will mainly apply to staff and logistics staff. About it reports Defense One.

One of the representatives of the defense department told reporters that the army did not intend to reduce the number of operators, but rather eliminate surplus positions in the headquarters, logistics and support. Meanwhile, the US military has not yet provided specific plans to approve the scale with legislators, although according to preliminary data, about 3,000 SCA staff will fall under the reduction. Senator Ted Budd spoke about this.

Together with his colleagues, he expressed fears that the reduction of personnel in the SCO would lead to increased China. "I am very concerned about increasing threat from China at the same time as the SCO contraction. If you look at what China can restrain, the special forces are on the edge of the spear. And so I think that the more we will invest in our special operations, the more you can will prevent problems that can ultimately be damaged in our country over the next decades, "Budd said.

Another senator and veteran of the US National Guard Johni Ernst noted that special forces are the advanced force of the US army, so the reduction of the number of special operations forces is not a way out. At the same time, a high -ranking military official told reporters that the army was not going to reduce "shooters". Most likely, the new place of work will have to look for accountants, logists and other staff staff.
