Employees had to paste the postcards and post ads in public at a fairly scanty fee. Many of those who agreed were refugees from Ukraine. However, they quickly realized that the work was in fact spreading pro -Russian propaganda on behalf of an anonymous employer. The publication writes that those who still agreed for several weeks were instructed to explore Polish seaports. They had to place surveillance cameras along the railways and hide tracking devices in military cargoes.
Then, in March, a new radical order was received - to start trains that carry weapons to Ukraine. The Polish authorities now believes that the mysterious customer was the GRU of the Russian Federation and that the disrupted operation was the most serious Russian threat in the territory of NATO since Moscow began its invasion of Ukraine last year. It is reported that the purpose of Russia was to disrupt the armed flow to Ukraine through Poland.
Instead, the case has become another devastating blow to Russian intelligence services. It should be reminded that the media reported that Poland and the Baltic countries can close the borders with Belarus at the same time. According to the President of Lithuania, Hitanas Nauseda, the complete closure of the borders with Belarus will be a "extreme west". At the same time in Vilnius already decided to close two checkpoints.
