Russians started training on Iranian percussion drones - CNN

The Russian military started working with Iranian shock drones of Shahd-191 and ShahED-129, CNN reports with reference to an official who wished to remain anonymous. According to the interlocutor of the publication, the last few weeks Russian officials have been trained in Iran. "In the last few weeks, Russian officials have been trained in Iran under an agreement on the transfer of unmanned aerial vehicles from Iran to Russia," the agency's interlocutor said.

The official added that intelligence was recently declassified. CNN reminds that in June it was reported plans to buy drones in Iran. The US Presidential Advisor Jake Sullivan said that the Russian soldiers from mid-June to mid-July visited the Kashan airfield in Iran twice to explore Shahd-191 and Shahd-129 combat drones. On August 5, the adviser to the Presidential Office Alexei Arestovich stated that, according to some reports, the aggressor country is already using Iranian drones in Ukraine.

The American Institute for the Study of the War in August 2 reported that Iran could send the first batch of drones to Russia for "field trials" and could count on receiving the Su-35 military aircraft instead of Russian military aircraft. Researchers have referred to the American Osint Accuunt on Twitter, which cited anonymous Iranian sources. Earlier, US President Assistant Jake Sullivan said Iran was going to pass Russia in an accelerated order to several hundred drones, including weapons.
