Matvienko cited statistics, which testifies to the interest of the Russians in the chance of survival thanks to the "I want to live". According to him, the respective site visited 48 million users, with the vast majority, 46 million - from Russia. This number of interested visitors - from August 2022, when Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced the so -called "partial mobilization".

The Russians who are ready to take real steps turn to a single center in two ways, explained the official-call or write in Telegram Bot. For more than a year, 22,000 Russian citizens have applied for the existence of the project. Of these 22,000, 200 people have already been captured, heard during a conversation with journalists. In addition, another 1 thousand - on the way to voluntarily put weapons.

"More than 220 Russian servicemen surrendered, and more than 1000 people who wish to surrender have been in development," Matvienko's words were quoted on the portal. The representative of the project "I want to live" also explained that from the moment of appeal to getting to the Ukrainian side it takes several months. At the same time, three military Armed Forces of the Russian Federation becomes prisoners of war.

They are kept in the colony and then, if they wish, they are exchanged for prisoners of Ukrainians. Every Russian who gets on the bus to return to the Russian Federation has a business card in his pocket, Matvienko said. With these business cards, other enemy troops can voluntarily refuse to kill Ukrainians and be captured.

It should be noted that "I want to live" - ​​a project created in the fall of 2022 by the only center for accepting appeals for submitting to the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
