The Russian Federation modernizes the drone "Lancet": the drone received a more powerful combat part (video)

To spread: the Russian military equipped a lancet bargemate with a new combat part with an increased charge of explosives. On the shock drone, the enemy installed a Soviet anti-tank mine PTM-3. The corresponding video showing the drone equipment process was posted on August 3 by Tomasz Kwasek user on the X (Twitter) social network. Mina PTM-3, designed to defeat both light and severe armored vehicles, weighs 4. 9 kg-this corresponds to the utmost useful load of the drone "Lancet".

Inside the mine contains 1. 8 kg of explosive substance that exceeds the charge of the staff combat part of the KZ-6 used in most "lancets" (1. 5 kg). However, despite the increase in the weight of the charge, the efficiency of the new variant can raise the question: according to open data, the armored testing PTM-3 is up to 80 mm, while the KZ-6 with the charge TG-40 can reach 200 mm under ideal conditions.

Thus, the new configuration is more focused on the defeat of poorly protected goals with increased fugas impact rather than the punching of heavy armor. Lancet drone, developed by the Russian company Zala Aero Group (included in the Kalashnikov concern), belongs to the class of barrading ammunition. It is designed to defeat both stationary and moving purposes, including light -hearted equipment, radar and artillery.

There are several modifications of drone in service, in particular: Lancet-1 Lancet-3 probably, for the integration of the PTM-3 mine was used modification "Lancet-3", capable of carrying the combat part weighing up to 5 kg. Such a step may indicate the attempt of developers to strengthen the combat capabilities of the drone, maintaining the tactical flexibility of their use.
