The developers noted that the use of foam housing significantly reduces the cost of the product and simplifies the process of repair in the field. The Russian media emphasize that this solution makes "IRT-Skut" more accessible and convenient for use in different conditions. The drone is equipped with an electric motor, which enables it to develop speeds of up to 90 km/h. The flight range is 50 km, and the time of autonomous work is 1 hour. The useful load of the drone is only 200 grams.
Other details about new development have not yet been disclosed. According to Defense Express observers, Russian invaders are already using foam drones on the battlefield. In particular, this year was seen Dron Kamikadze with fuselage of two aluminum pipes, as well as with foam wing about 2 m. Recall that in 2023 it became known that Russian designers created a mm-1 aircraft type of MM-1, allegedly invisible for radio electronic struggle.
