Quantum Systems has created a Jäger rocket drone against "shahads": Ukrainian military evaluated

To spread: the German company Quantum Systems is testing a new drone interceptor with the working name Jäger ("hunter") capable of pursuing an air target at a speed of 405 km/h. The developers have taken into account the requirements for the interceptors who have revealed the war in Ukraine, and can quickly improve the new drone to the needs of the military, as previously done with Vector scout.

So the Ukrainian serviceman Oleksandr Karpyuk wrote on his page on the social network Facebook, evaluating a "hunter". The drone has a maximum prompt height of 5 km, speed up to 405 km/h, range 25 km and a warhead of 0. 8 kg. Oleksandr Karpyuk noted that Jäger is equipped with a solid fuel missile accelerator, which should bring the drone as quickly as possible to the working height for the target.

"This is very important and some Ukrainian manufacturers are just beginning to implement this decision," the military said. Quantum Systems told the German edition of Hartpunkt, which initially the interceptor flies out of the starting container with the help of four electric motors, and then switches on the rocket engine, which works for about 5 seconds. It allows you to rise quickly to more effectively affect the enemy drones who fly quickly.

When the fuel ends, the thrust is provided by the electric drive. As previously stated by the Quantum Systems co -founder and Florian Zibel in LinkedIn, a combined drone drive system enables him to climb 4000 meters in a 30 -seconds height. He also hinted that Jäger would be able to hunt Shahamed's percussion drones that Russia uses against Ukraine.

"In general, Quantum Systems is one of the manufacturers who very quickly and correctly treat the disadvantages of their drones and implement the right technical solutions. Their Vector has passed the way from UAV for police operations to quality military UAVs. Quantum Systems predicts the cost of Jäger will be several thousand euros. It will also receive a system of communication protected from obstacles and the ability to work without satellite navigation.

At the final stage of development, a high degree of automation of the interception process and its absence without human participation are expected. According to the Quantum Systems representative, the development of the trap has already been completed, production is being prepared. The drone may be commissioned by the end of 2025. Further steps, the company will take together with the customer, taking into account the specific needs.
