In Russia, there was an explosion at the "Avangard" chemical plant: the production plant was destroyed, there are victims (video)

According to the Russian media Mash, the explosion occurred in a technological installation located within the enterprise. Eyewitnesses said they first saw a bright glow, followed by a loud rumble that caused the building to collapse. As a result of the explosion, part of the factory was completely destroyed, and loud sounds were heard in the surrounding area and car alarms went off. Rescue units, medics and representatives of local authorities arrived at the scene.

A large-scale operation was launched to evacuate workers and clear debris. Rescuers continue to search for people who may be under the debris. According to official data, two workers who remained under the rubble have already been found and hospitalized. Other victims are provided with medical assistance directly on the spot. The condition of the victims is being clarified. Violation of safety rules during work in the workshop is called the preliminary cause of the explosion.

At the same time, Russian services report that no drone activity was recorded in the area of ​​the event, so the version of external intervention is currently not considered. The head of the administration of the city of Sterlitamak, Emil Shaimardanov, confirmed the fact of the explosion and noted that he was personally at the scene of the accident: "There was an explosion in one of the shops of the Avangard plant. All emergency services are now working on the site, which arrived quickly.

Data on the victims are being verified, they are being provided with the necessary assistance. I will keep the situation under control and inform about new data," the official said. He also appealed to the residents of the city to remain calm and not to spread unverified information: "I ask you to trust only official sources. Currently, there are a lot of fake news and conjectures appearing on the Internet," Shaimardanov emphasized. The investigation into the cause of the explosion continues.

The company is checking compliance with safety rules, as well as assessing the extent of the damage. In addition, several employees of the Avangard plant are considered missing because, according to SHOT, they did not arrive at the evacuation point. Several ambulance crews have already been sent to the scene, and the smoke is rising so high that it can be seen from almost all areas of the city.
