China has declared a "space war" Starlink: Beijing is preparing to withstand satellites mask

To spread: China considers the Starlink satellite network a strategic threat and is preparing for the Space War. Military and scientists of the PRC are seriously developing measures against the US satellite network, which is regarded in Beijing as a key element of future US military infrastructure.

China's scientific journals over the last two years have published dozens of articles that describe the methods of detecting and neutralizing Ilon Mask's satellites - from physical destruction to cyber sabotage. This is stated in Associated Press.

Among the proposed solutions is the use of secret submarines with laser weapons for satellite attacks, the creation of shock satellites with ionic engines capable of intercepting or disrupting the Starlink apparatus, as well as sabotage of components for this system. The cause of Beijing's concern was the rapid expansion of the Starlink network, which up to the present moment covers more than 140 countries and has proven efficiency in the battlefield, in particular in Ukraine.

Satellites provide high -speed communication even in combat, including drone management and data transmission. In this regard, the Chinese military openly state that Starlink increases the US military in space, cyberspace and even nuclear sphere.

The scientific publications of Chinese military research institutes emphasize that Starlink can provide a round -the -clock covering over Beijing and Taiwan, but it has weaknesses - it opens space for attacks on the components of the system through vulnerable links. In parallel, China continues to implement its own Guowang satellite network, which by August 2025 has 60 out of 13,000 planned devices. Another 90 satellites were launched by Qianfan, which also claims the global market.

From the very beginning of a full -scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian attacks have systematically destroyed the traditional communication infrastructure. At the request of the Ukrainian government and the personal initiative of Ilona Mask, SpaceX activated the Starlink network, and in March 2022 it was used to communicate in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Starting from the defense of Azovstal and further on all parts of the front, Starlink worked as a "basis of communication", providing data transmission and video from the front even under the conditions of a destroyed mobile network and interruptions in electricity. Particularly important was the role of Starlink in connection with artillery and FPV-Dron.

Ukrainian intelligence units integrated the drone video channel with fire adjustment systems - terminals made it possible to transmit images in real time. Thus, Starlink became not only a technical means of communication, but also strategic infrastructure. He linked unmanned reconnaissance groups, artillery commanders and headquarters to a single rapid response system. Recall that on the night of July 24 there was a large -scale failure in the operation of the Satellite Internet of Starlink.
