On the night of May 6, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation struck an aviation strike on the energy system of Sumy region. As a result of the attack, some settlements were left without light. "The settlements of Sumy, Romny and Okhtyr districts remained as a result of the attacks of Russians without electricity," the message reads. During the night, the power supply has been restored in the affected areas and partial in Sumy, and work continues. Ova emphasized that an emergency commission was convened by technogenic and environmental safety and emergency situations, and decisions were made to restore the work of critical infrastructure at the expense of emergency power sources.

Moreover, the points of indomitability were launched. Ukrenergo said that on the night of May 6, the enemy attacked Sushchin with the help of drones and missiles. The damage was caused by a high -voltage object of NEC "Ukrenergo". "Emergency and recovery work began immediately after the alarm," the company said. Currently, Ukrenergo is working on a gradual recovery of energy.

According to the Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, the enemy was attacked with 13 shock drones like ShahED-131/136 during the night. They were launched from Kursk region. Instead, the Armed Forces mobile fire groups managed to destroy 12 UAVs in the Sumy region. We will remind, the head of Sumy Ova Alexei Drozdenko stated that on the night of May 6 the invaders attacked the amount with the help of drones. As a result, the objects of critical infrastructure were transferred to reserve power.
