Serviceman Igor Lutsenko is genuinely surprised why Ukraine neglects men aged 60...

To fight after 60: why in the Army of Ukraine want to recruit pensioners

Serviceman Igor Lutsenko is genuinely surprised why Ukraine neglects men aged 60. In his opinion, many of them could still benefit the country in the ranks of the APU - and many want it. The decision was made to mobilize the younger ones. This is an certainly difficult decision for the authorities both in political and human senses. Now the risk of death or injury hangs over more than those who need to live in order for Ukraine, and with it all healthy humanity, existed.

In this regard, I want to express my surprise why we throw the young people forward, but forbid to serve as 60? I have many men with good health with good health, who have serious combat experience or unique engineering knowledge. Voluntarily ask. But I have to refuse them, because such a law. Instead, legislators are offered to mobilize those who do not have knowledge and experience.

Why so? Why don't we use this resource? If someone says that men more than 60 are unable to fight, then it will be a big lie. And moreover, the legislation already has a norm that provides for their service! With the only "but" - if they are already servicemen.

That is, if the serviceman is 60 but has high professional training, experience of practical work in their position, recognized by the military-medical commission suitable for health reasons for military service, then at his request, he may be left in military service beyond the marginal age. But if, for example, it is released in 60, rests the month, and then goes back to the army - no, here, it is no longer possible. Nonsense? Nonsense! Which is too expensive for us.
