Because they are forced to take licenses of private companies and implement them at their capacity," Koziy said. The expert noted that when it comes to independence in terms of weapons production, it should be understood which private companies - Ukrainian, Chinese or Western - cooperate with Ukroboronprom, but the Ukrainian concern did not provide such information.
Koziy stressed that the issue of democratic civil control in terms of transparency of such cooperation is key, but unfortunately only recently a relevant parliamentary committee was created to consider civil control. Recall that US Deputy Defense Minister for Procurement and Support William Lapant said on October 25 that the United States intends to create an industrial base in Ukraine for rapid increase in military production.
