The deputy head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Irina Wise spoke at the Global Forum of the American Jewish Committee (AJC Global Forum 2025) in New York. Representatives of governments, international organizations, leaders of Jewish communities and diplomats took part in the event. Irina Wise thanked the AJC and the international Jewish community for consistent support of Ukraine since the beginning of Russian aggression in 2014.

She noted that representatives of the Ukrainian Jewish community also defend Ukraine and give their lives in the struggle for the independence of the state. “Russia is leading the war not only against Ukraine. It is a war against schools, synagogues, against human dignity. This is a threat to Israel, Europe, the United States and the entire free world, ”said the deputy head of the Presidential Office.

Irina Wise urged to help the release of all civilian and military prisoners, to return illegally deported and displaced by Russia of Ukrainian children, to achieve fair and long peace and to develop reliable security guarantees for Ukraine. “Only through collective efforts will we be able to stop this evil. Together, we protect not only the territory - we protect the values of the free world, ”she said.

The Ukrainian delegation also held a number of meetings, in particular with the founders of AJC, as well as the CEO of the Committee Ted Doych, which discussed specific proposals on how AJC could help Ukraine in achieving fair and sustainable peace. In addition, Irina Wise participated in a special briefing in the constant representation of the Netherlands at the UN on the inevitability of punishment and restoration of justice.

She informed about the work on the creation of a special tribunal on the crime of aggression against Ukraine, progress in launching a register of losses and the creation of a compensation commission and the state of investigation of international crimes. “A fair and prolonged peace must be built on responsibility, not amnesia. Our collective security depends on our common values and on our willingness to protect them.
