Buffer zone and bridgehead: Butusov told about the plan of the offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Kharkiv region (video)

According to the Ukrainian journalist, the Russians do not yet use big forces during attacks on border settlements. They can prepare steps for further promotion. Russian invaders have launched an offensive in the Kharkiv region, which has been rumored on the network for many months. The purpose of the enemy in the region may be to create a so -called buffer zone and a bridgehead for further attempts to promote. This opinion was voiced by Ukrainian journalist Yuri Butusov on the air of Radio Liberty.

Like a few hours ago, he assures that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation allegedly were able to take control of several settlements on the border. It was done due to the advantage of enemy troops in the matter of personnel and means of damage. At the same time, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported that there were no losses of territories as a result of Russian storms. The forces of defense managed to repel the attacks of the Russians.

At the same time, the journalist is convinced that there will be no large -scale breakthrough towards the city of Vovchansk. "The nature of the enemy's actions is not an action by some great forces, there are no armored columns, these are the actions of small infantry groups by several battalions," Yuri Butusov said. It was also stated that the Russians want to find weaknesses in Ukrainian combat and thus stretch the front, carry out intelligence and cause fire damage.

Accordingly, the offensive, which began on May 10 in the Kharkiv region, may have limited goals. "Now the main goal of the enemy is to create a buffer zone, to fix itself and, perhaps, then use it as a bridgehead for a further offensive," - summed up Yuri Butusov. We will remind, on May 10 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched an offensive in Kharkiv region.
