In general, there are five more robots in China today in China than in the United States. It is also reported that imported work was dominated by Chinese plants by 2024. However, the data for 2024 already indicate that three out of five work -operating robots are made in China. The Chief Analyst of the Omdia Research firm, Liana, SU, noted that this breakthrough was not an accident, but the result of China's systemic and consistent policies.
Thus, in 2015, Beijing introduced the campaign "Made in China 2025", aimed at dominance in the robotics industry by reducing its dependence on imported goods. Chinese companies received almost unlimited loans from state banks at very low interest rates. In 2021, the government also presented a detailed plan for expanding the use of robots as part of its ten -year initiative. A key part of this initiative was production automation.
