The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this at a briefing on March 21. According to him, the army of the Russian Federation is currently refrained from the strikes on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine in accordance with the conditions of agreements between the US and Russia. Peskov noted that the agreement does not attack 30 days important objects only applies to energy infrastructure. He also accused the Armed Forces in the undermining of the Sudzha gas metering station in the Kursk region.
"This is clearly demonstrated by the price of assurances [President of Ukraine] Vladimir Zelensky and his team. This is, by the way, what we have repeatedly warned our interlocutors," Peskov added. Despite the Kremlin's statements, on the evening of March 20, Russian drones attacked Odessa largely, causing fires and significant damage to residential and infrastructure.
This attack emphasized Moscow's intention to continue to strike air strikes, despite the consent to temporarily stop blowing on energy facilities. In three districts of Odessa there were emergency shutdowns of electricity, which indicates possible damage to the energy infrastructure of the city, writes Associated Press.
